The Latin word Perdix translates to Partridge and indeed what a special example of the 2006 Belgium made 20 bore o/u this would be for a partridge shoot. Exceptionally well balanced and beautifully hand engraved with articulate pairs of partridges on both sideplates, met with deep scroll engraving outlining the furniture of the action. This coupled with the stunning hand crafted three piece forend just expands the level of quality and thought that has been put into this remarkable piece of craftsmanship. This example has recently been fully serviced and had an English oil finish applied to its sumptuous marble grained stock. This 28” rendition is choked half and three quarters and should adorn the arm of a sporting shot whilst gazing skyward as coveys appear.
